Rose Schulmeister Jones, 85, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 with family by her side. Rose was born May 13, 1936 to Frank and Ana (Misbrener) Schulmeister in Nasica Bresnica, Yugoslavia and has been an Akron resident most of her life.
She was employed by Fazio's, Hashiba Tire, she was self-employed for a short period of time, then retired from West Point Market.
Rose is survived by her children, Jean Anne (Tony) Murdocco, Donald Jones, Thomas (Vicky) Jones; grandchildren, Sara (Larry Morris) Jones-Yost, Amanda (Richard Zurbach) Jones, Valerie Griffith, George (Kathleen) Collins and Ashley (John) Keener; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Fred (Karen) Schulmeister, Elizabeth (Robert - Deceased) Patterson and Frank (Kathy) Schulmeister. She was preceded in death by her son, David Jones.
Her passions were gardening and cooking. She collected hundreds of cookbooks and gardening books. She loved spending time and cooking for her family, that was her greatest joy. Our family is Proud of what she accomplished in her life.
The family will hold a memorial on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Road, Uniontown, OH 44685 where a
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Fr. David Misbrener officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
