Born September 23, 1940 in Detroit, Sharon was the daughter of Charles and Lucille Foster. She retired from Lake Erie Transit after 18 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and line dancing. She was a member of the Red Hatters and attended Pleasant Valley AME Church in Belleville, where she sang in the choir.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 59 years, Marvin E. Martin; her sister, Janice Sims; three sons: Marvin, Marlon (Rita), and Maury (Jennifer);a daughter, Marla; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law,Wendy (Gregoire) Vargas.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday August 30th at Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Belleville 734-697-9400 and Tuesday August 31st at 11 a.m., a brief burial ceremony will be held at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, 32163 W. Huron River Dr., Flat Rock, MI 48134.
