OBITUARY
David Allen Norris
JULY 11, 1973 – AUGUST 28, 2021
David Allen Norris went to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning of Saturday, August 28, 2021 after his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was home and surrounded by his family.
Allen is survived by his mother, Becky Norris of Leland, brother, Jason Norris and his wife Riley of Leland, nephew, Taylor, niece, Ella, aunts, uncles, and cousins he loved so very much. He also leaves behind more friends than one can count.
Allen was proceeded in death by his father, David Norris of Leland, grandparents Silas and Frances Norris of Richlands, and Ernest and Ella Houston of Kenansville.
Allen never met a stranger and had the kindest soul anyone would ever know. To know Allen was to love him. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved animals. He was an active member of the Leland Fire Department for 25 years and it was a true passion of his.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Allen's best friend, Jason Thornton and his family, Leland Fire Department, Grassy Branch, Cornerstone Baptist Church, and his Hospice nurses, Jessica and Audrey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, 517 Village Rd. NE, Leland, NC
Burial will follow at 3:30pm at Quinn Family Cemetery, Kenansville, NC. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
