Dorina Rose “Rosie" Keeny, 29, former resident of Sedan, died Sunday, July 16, 1989, at her home in Kansas City, Mo., of an apparent brain tumor. She was born February 5, 1960, to John D. and Kathleen (Tuxborn) Powers. She was a home maker and a member of the Sedan First Baptist Church.
On March 19, 1982, she and Christopher Eugene Keeny were united in marriage at Sedan.
Survivors include her husband, Chris; four sons, Gary Lynn McCoy of Parkville, Mo., Dean Jesse and Joshua Keeny of her home; her parents Frank and Kathleen McCorkle of Sedan, three brothers, John D. Powers of Kansas City, Mo., Frank McCorkle of Anchorage, Ala., and Patrick McCorkle of Sedan; one sister, Debra Ann Pelkey of Wellington; grandparents, Herman and Blendina Powers of Havana; and grandmother, Katheryn Lindsey of Sedan. One brother, Victor, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 20, 1989, at 11:00 a.m., at the Greenwood Cemetery, Sedan. Rev. Dois Nix will officiate.
