Helen June (Varner) Jackson McLear, 89, widow of Paul Wilson McLear passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. McLear was born on June 1, 1932 in Monterey, a daughter to the late Raymond C. and Reba G. (Botkin) Varner.

She was a member of Jollivue United Methodist Church.

Mrs. McLear enjoyed spending time with her friends, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving family members include a son, Jerry & JoAnne Jackson; a daughter, Debbie & Randy McGann; a step-daughter, Melissa & Alan Stacy; a sister, Lucille Biby; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Napier; two sisters, Pauline Crone and Violet Jarvis; and two brothers, Robert Varner and Frank Varner.

A special thanks to hospice and to her caregivers Liz Blackburn and Ashley Snead who were wonderful to her.

A Graveside Service will be conducted on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Thornrose Cemetery.
