Martha Carol Young died peacefully at home on August 22, 2021, after a battle with cancer. Martha was born in Enid, Oklahoma and lived in Eldorado, Oklahoma, until she attended college in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Martha met her husband Richard Young at a swimming pool in Altus, Oklahoma and they were married in France. They have two children, Diane Larson of San Bernardino, California and David C. Young of Nancy, Kentucky, and two grandchildren, Terra Richardson of Colorado and David M. Young of Kentucky.
Martha was co-pastor of The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of San Bernardino and was a compassionate counselor with keen insight. She was a very talented artist, loved the beach, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Young, her daughter Diane Larson and husband Jeffrey Larson, of California, and her son David C. Young, of Kentucky, as well as her sister-in law Virginia Young Johnson and husband Edward Nederlk of California, her brother-in-law David E. Young and wife Dorene Young of Maryland. Martha had several nieces and nephews, namely Charles Lynch and wife Vicki Lynch of Oklahoma, Hannah (Vicki) Johnson, Stan Johnson of Washington, Andrew Johnson of California, Ellen Young of Maryland, William Young of Maryland, Janet Scire and husband Vincent Scire of Maryland, and Jenny Ramsburg of Maryland.
