Frances Yvonne Thompson Culbreath, resident of Oklahoma City, entered eternal life on Nov. 24, 2007. She was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Fayetteville, Ark., the daughter of Noble Arthur Thompson and Avis Yvonne Berkley Thompson. She was graduated from Alice Robertson High School in Muskogee. She attended Oklahoma City University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Secretarial Administration and English. Frances was a wonderful, nurturing mother and reared her children before returning to work. She was employed as a legal secretary and assistant for several attorneys and became quite knowledgeable and respected in that field. She was an amazing lady, who loved her family, her many friends and was very giving and loyal. Frances was very intelligent and loved studying American history. She loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She is survived by four children, Robert Culbreath Chase, Elizabeth Culbreath Valentine and husband Michael, Kymberli Ackerman and Guy Justice; one cousin, Jon Berkley; four grandchildren, Robert Burtcher, Robert Valentine, Jill Spencer, and Joanna Harper; great- grandchildren, Jared, Justin, Hope and Wil; and four second cousins, Joshua, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Frances Avis Berkley Hunter. An evening prayer service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. at Smith and Kernke Chapel, 1401 N. 23rd Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Old Cathedral Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, OK.
