Marjorie J. Davis, 84 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at a local hospital surrounded by her family.
Services will be held 1:30pm Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Marjorie was born February 6, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Ronald and Vernabelle (Spears) McManamy. She grew up in Sioux City graduating from East High School. Marge continued her education at Morningside College, receiving her BA degree in education. She married William Davis June 6, 1959. Together they made their home in Sioux City.
Over the years, Marge worked for the Sioux City Community Schools and Siouxland Christian Schools. She loved vacationing in Colorado, going to Minnesota to visit and help with the grandchildren, entertaining family and friends and working in the garden.
Survivors include her husband, William L. Davis of Sioux City; 2 daughters, Becky Davis of Sioux City and Sam (Mark) Rickertsen of Hutchinson, MN; 4 grandchildren, Brett, Dani, Jay and Adam Rickertson all of Hutchinson, MN; a brother, Ronald 'Skip' (Dodie) McManamy.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Linda.
