Eddie was born May 18, 1958 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Ralph Charles and Floydie Mae Johnson whom are preceding him in his death along with brothers Jerry Dan Baker and Charles Johnson, and sister Darlene Woodfork. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1977 and attended college at Southwestern Christian College, Eddie later became a member at Shephard Street Church of Christ. Eddie was employed at Hope Ministries after working various jobs but was known as the "community handy man" a true "he man" he could do it all. Eddie took care of the community until the day he died.
His personal interests included his daughters and family, he also loved music and singing. He devoted much of her time and energy helping others. His charm and personality brightened rooms as well as people's lives.
Eddie is survived by his daughters, Ebony Johnson & Courtney Burns; brothers, Ralph Charles Johnson, Jr., Raymond Johnson (Connie) and Rickey Johnson; a sister Nona Steele (Rod) and, grandchildren Taadesha Johnson, Dedric Johnson, Jr, Laila Johnson, Seven Duffey, and Matrix Duffey; a bundle of nieces, nephews, and cousins two special cousins Sebrena Moton and Jeanette Moore.
Eddie will be lovingly remembered and missed.
