Charles Allen Ellis was born on May 7, 1943, in Manzanola, CO, to Lee Roy and Mary Francis (Stevenson) Ellis. He passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 78. Charlie attended Hinton and East Walnut, and Binger Schools. He graduated from Classen High School. He enlisted in the US Air Force after High School. He was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam War and worked in armament. Charlie made his career in the Air Force and was stationed many places during his service. Charlie retired from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1994. He moved back to Hinton in 2008. He married Cathryn Sue Gravett on July 10, 2009, in Anadarko, OK. He loved gardening and enjoyed planting all types of things. He enjoyed woodworking and watching his fish in his aquariums.
Survivors include: wife Cathryn of Hinton, OK, 2 children, Daniel Ellis and Nicole Ellis, brother, Frank Ellis and wife Charlene of Lancaster, CA, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Lee Roy Ellis and Mary Francis Ellis, stepmom, Lena Mae Ellis, brothers, Wilfred Eugene, William Albert, Jr. Lee Roy, George Hershel Ellis, sisters, Molissa Irene Haddock, Mary Imogene Clark, Margaret June Mooney, Darlene Satterfield, and 8 step siblings.
