Elaine M. Miller of Osceola, Wisconsin passed away at age 93 on August 20, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.

Elaine was born to Merril and Tilda (Redlich) Johnson on February 12, 1928, in Nye, Wisconsin before settling with her family in Dresser, Wisconsin. Elaine attended Osceola High School, where she soon met her would-be-husband of 72 years, Bernard (Bernie) Miller. After exchanging wedding vows on January 15, 1949, the couple would go on to create a lasting legacy of love, companionship, and family.

Elaine took great joy in a life filled with family and friends. Early years with nights out and dancing gave way to caring for her children. She enjoyed sewing their clothes, making birthdays extra special, and packing the family up for road trips and camping excursions out west. In retirement, Elaine and Bernie enjoyed spending many winters in the sunshine across the south. The couple, however, was sure to be home for holidays and family gatherings so Elaine could host these special occasions. As grandchildren arrived, Elaine always had a cinnamon roll and a card game ready for the frequent visits they made to Grandma's house. The grandchildren never left a visit empty-handed, as she made sure they had a hand-knitted hat, scarf, or blanket to take with them in one hand and a snack in the other. When she did have time for herself, Elaine enjoyed watching wildlife from the porch with a paintbrush or drawing pencil in hand.

Elaine was preceded in death by parents, Merril and Tilda Johnson, brother, Kenneth Johnson, and daughter, Bonnie Miller. She is lovingly survived by husband, Bernie Miller; sons, David (Lori) Miller, and Michael (Michelle) Miller; daughter, Pat (Larry) Benitz; sister-in-law, Janice Johnson; grandchildren, Lynn (Josh) Miller-Wradislavsky, Andrea (Jeff) Butler, Kristin (Sean) Robbins, Matt Miller, Mark (Rachel) Miller, Ross (Kristen) Benitz, and Chelsea Benitz; great-grandchildren, Claire and William Butler, Lauren and Carter Robbins, James Miller, and Brooks and Reagan Benitz.
