Richard Graber was the son of Joseph Carson Graber (1910-1955) and Sarah Elizabeth Fosdick (1912-1983), and husband of Donna Mae Fintel (1931-1986). His obituary appeared in the 13 May 1998 editon of the Corvallis Gazette-Times:

"Richard G. Graber of Albany died Sunday, May 10, at home. He was 66. He was born in Deering, ND, to Joseph Carson and Sarah Elizabeth (Fosdick) Graber. He moved to Albany at age 4 and had lived there since. He graduated from Albany High School in 1949, lettering in football. He served in the Oregon National Guard. He married Donna May Fintel in Albany on Jan. 25, 1952. He worked for Pacific Power for many years as a lineman, construction coordinator and safety engineer. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Albany, American Legion Post No. 10, FOE of Albany and the Albany Chapter of Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He is survived by a son, Rick Graber of Anchorage, Alaska, a brother, Daniel Carson Graber of Westminster, Calif., a sister Mickey Casebier of Turner, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, on Jan. 18, 1986. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Albany Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. Nickolas Doversberger will officiate. Interment will be at Waverly Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fisher Funeral Home of Albany. Memorials may be made to the American Arthritis Association in care of the Fisher Funeral Home, PO Box 156, Albany OR 97321."
