Zylpha Koester, owner of convalescent hospital, dies.
Services for Mrs. Zylpha Koester, 79, of 394 0 St., Chula Vista, were held yesterday in the Little Chapel of the Roses, Glen Abbey.
Rev. Katherine Breese was officiating minister. Burial followed in Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
Mrs. Koester, owner and manager of tha La Siesta Convalescent Hospital for the past 15 years, died Monday in a local hospital. A county resident for the past 36 years, she was born in the state of Washington. She was affiliated with the Chula Vista Woman's Club, the Lioness Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and World War I Auxiliary. Mrs. Koester is survived by one son, one brother, and two sisters, Mrs. Zella Jones of San Diego and Mrs. Juanita Ritter of Chula Vista.
Arrangements were made by Hubbard Mortuary in Chula Vista.
