David Joseph Reaves, 78, of Roanoke, formerly of Berlin MD. passed away on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021. He was born in Nakina, NC, August 6th, 1943 to the late Oliver Berkley and Ruby Mae Reaves.
David was retired from his business Bishopville Excavation. He was a socialite who loved good conversations. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed cars, gardening, and time with family and friends.
David is Survived by his twin brother Kenneth "Mutt" Reaves, brother James "Junebug" Oliver, brother Frankie Reaves, sister Rita Reaves, sister Debra Reaves and sister Leslie Kay Reaves. He is preceded in death by his brother Sammy Reaves, sister Lois Reaves and Cathy Gore.
He is also survived by his children. Daughter Kaye Gilmore and husband Steve, daughter Cindy Kelly, son Gary Reaves and wife Pam, daughter Abbey Williams, daughter Amy Gears, stepson JH Williams and stepdaughter Belle Widgeon.
Grandchildren Kristen, Emily, Carolyn, Chase, Chris, Megan, Joshua, "Little" David, Jessica, Jocelyn, Bailey, Peyton and many great grandchildren.
Services will be private.
