She married Paul Raymond Petty, on Aug. 20, 1965, at Fort Sill; divorced Dec. 12, 1994, in Fairfax Co., VA. Paul was the son of Clare Edward Petty of the U. S. Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. At the time of her marriage, Kathleen was working as a secretary for Sohio Oil Company in Oklahoma City. She was going to work on a Master in Guidance and Counseling at OU while her husband finished at OU. She had lived in Vienna, VA.
