Verner Lee Davidson was born February 10, 1925 in Edom, Texas to the late Clinton Irving Davidson and Addie Mae Hobbs Davidson. He had been a resident of the Van/Edom area most of his life. He had a long career working as a salesman for Warner-Lambert Co. He was very active in his community, serving on the Van ISD School Board for many years, and currently serving on the Van ISD Hall of Fame Committee. He was named Distinguished Alumni of Van ISD in 2017, and recognized as a Gentleman of Yesteryear for Van, Texas in 2013. He was a member of Edom United Methodist Church and worked at Hilliard Funeral Home for many years.
Mr. Davidson passed away at the age of 96 on August 25, 2021 in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandy Thomas; brother, Dale Davidson; and great-grandchild, Larken Burr.
