Donnie "Don" R. Gray, age 81, of Lakeland, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Donnie was born May 29, 1940 in Michie, TN. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and retired 3M Companies where he worked for more than 20 years. Donnie was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He enjoyed many hobbies including, woodworking, camping, gardening, ballroom dancing, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Gray, his wife, Jane Gray and mother to his three children, and one brother, Billy Wayne Gray. He leaves his wife of 16 years, Mary Nell Gray, four children; Nona Stultz (Kendall), Mike Gray (Regina), Anita Hollis (David), Kenneth Jarratt (Nona), his mother, Frances Gray, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and one sister, Gladys Summers (Ronald).
The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm until service time at 2pm, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133. Interment will be held at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
