Leroy Oscar Williams, Jr., 81 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Wake Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Bethabara United Methodist Church, officiating will be Rev. Hank Dunbar. Burial will follow at Minson Williams Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 27, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
Due to COVID, the family request that you wear masks and practice social distancing while attending the visitation and service.
Leroy graduated from Clement High School and was a body shop manager.
He was born in Sampson County to the late Leroy Oscar Williams, Sr. and Mable Crumpler Williams. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his step-mother, Hattie Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Barbara M. Williams of the home; daughter, Gwen W. Lee & husband, Wayne of Autryville; son, Brian Williams & wife, Amy of Godwin; grandchildren, Matthew Lee, McKenzie Williams and Morgan Williams; sisters, Margaret Hollingsworth of Roseboro, and Anita Fann & husband, Gerald of Autryville; brothers, Danny Williams & wife Sabra of Florida, Eddie Williams & wife, Debra of Salemburg, Garry Williams & wife, Ann of Clinton, and Craig Williams & wife, Cathy of Salemburg; brother-in-law, Lawrence Matthews & wife, Rose of Hampstead; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethabara United Methodist Church, 5092 Maxwell Road, Autryville, NC 28318.
