Timothy "Tim" N. Thompson, 78, of Callaway, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his home.

He was born August 24, 1943, in Phoenix, Arizona to Jack and Leona (Pitts) Thompson. He attended public schools in Cottonwood, Arizona. Following High School, Tim enlisted in the United States Army from June 8, 1967 until being honorably discharged on June 6, 1969. He served during Vietnam as a Radio Operator in Germany.

Tim resided in Phoenix, Arizona for over forty years, he also lived in Durango, Colorado, and Farmington, New Mexico. He retired in 2006, and after retirement moved to Callaway, Nebraska in 2013. While living in Phoenix, Tim worked for Breinholt Contracting and Klondyke Inc., as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Zoerb on November 25, 1989, in Glendale, Arizona. They raised and adopted a son, James N. W. Thompson.

Tim enjoyed fishing, travelling, and whiling living in Arizona, raised miniature horses and pigs.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Callaway; son, James Thompson of Lincoln; three grandchildren, James T. L. Thompson of Callaway, Kaylea Thompson and Payton Thompson of Kearney; sister, Jennifer (Mark) Pollock of Glendale, Arizona; three sisters-in-law, Beverly (Jerry) Witthuhn of Omaha, Sandra (Ray) Thompson of Gentry, Arkansas and Elaine (Paul) Howsden of Lincoln; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leslie and Alice Pitts; sister, Patricia Thompson; and stepfather, William Luginbyhl.
