Patricia Ann (Pat) Hook born January 20, 1936 in Norman, Oklahoma passed peacefully into God's hands August 24, 2021, at the age of 85. She was the daughter of Doyle and Lillian (Homer) Thorp. Pat married the love of her life Gene Hook in September 1953, graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1954 and received her BS in Education from Central State College where she was a Gamma Phi Beta Sorority member. She worked as a substitute teacher and then as an IRS auditor for many years until she retired in 1991.

Pat was a life long church goer first as a member at Kentucky Avenue Baptist Church and then at Southern Hills Baptist Church (SHBC). She attended the SHBC Agape Sunday School Class where she had many close friends including her life long friend Phynila Graham who was born on the very same day as Pat and they attended school and church together all of their lives.

She had been a member of OKSMA & ASG Sewing Clubs and hosted lots of sewing and quilting friends in her home monthly. They all frequently traveled together to quilting shows and quilting and fabric stores across Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas.

A woman of strong faith with a servant's heart for hospitality. Her family gathering in her home for many many years of joyous and sometimes solemn occasions. She lived her life cheerfully and generously giving, serving, and helping others. She was the social and bereavement director of the Agape class, where she planned, organized and helped prepare meals for grieving families.

Her legacy will be that she had a gracious spirit, a kind and gentle soul, who was humble, generous, caring and compassionate, filled with goodness and joy, love, acceptance and patience, and that she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart and cherished her husband, family and friends. Pat was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and true friend in Christ and she will be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 68 years, Clarence Eugene (Gene) Hook, son, Randal Hook and wife Denise of Broken Arrow; daughter-in-law, Sara Hook of Enid; son, Phillip Hook and wife Brandy of Edmond; daughter, Rhonda Sperling and husband Michael of Grand Lake; 15 grandchildren, Tamara, Christian, Matthew, Brian, Amy, Chadd, Brandon, Meghan, Mercedes, Jennifer, Meagan, Amanda, Alicia, Michal, and Chase; 25 great grandchildren as well as one more on the way, Madison, Mallorie, Kyler, Jace, Petal, Paisley, Parker, Logan, Sophia, Lauren, Zachary, Noah, Lillian, Jaiden, Thorian, Zoe, Isabelle, Cole, Rory, Alejandro, Masiel, Gabriel, Nolan, Caroline, and Charlotte; 2 great-great grandchildren, Wills and Wrenley; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
