Elizabeth Maude Weller, 1876–1947
Mrs. Elizabeth Maude Weller, 71, of 1516 Bertch Ave., Waterloo, Iowa, was found dead at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 28, 1947) near the corner of Baltimore and Williston in Waterloo, the victim of a heart ailment. Mrs. Weller died before the arrival of an ambulance summoned by police who had been notified by neighbors. The daughter of L. M. and Alice Hawver, she was born on a farm north of Waterloo on Aug. 16. 1876. She was married to John H. Weller on Sept. 21, 1898, at Waterloo. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary with a small party a week ago Sunday. Mrs. Weller was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Rowena, at home, and Mrs. Alice Main, 1510 Williston Ave., Waterloo; two brothers, Ross Hawver, Gary, Ind., and George Hawver, 1825 East Fourth St., Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Sohner, San Anselmo, Calif., and Mrs. W. L. Garvin, 1012 Prospect Blvd., Waterloo; and one grandchild.
