Mr. Mark Alan Marsh, 59 of Blackshear, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 25, 2021, at his residence.

Born in Elyria, OH on September 11, 1961, he had lived in Pierce and Ware Counties most of his life. Mr. Marsh was a carpenter by trade and had enjoyed doing all kinds of woodworking projects. He also loved antique cars, restoring hot rods, and playing the guitar. He was a self-described comedian who loved to make everyone laugh and never missed his family's birthdays. He was of the Catholic faith.

He was a son of the late William Ralph & Shirley Elaine Norman. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Marsh.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Champagne Marsh of Blackshear; a daughter, Lauren Marsh of Waycross; a son, Ryan Marsh of Blackshear; a step-son, Jamie Bridges of Gainesville, GA; two sisters, Lynn Marsh and Wendy (Charlie) Thornton all of Waycross; a brother, Bill Marsh of Dayton, OH; 8 grandchildren, Levi Lane, Stanley Marsh, Zoey Marsh, Gabriel Johns, Haley Marsh, Josie Chancey, Andrew Chancey, and Cherokee Corbitt; numerous great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Crystal Champagne, Sharlene Champagne, Megan Marsh (Keith Sims), and Shayne Thornton; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
