MAVIS MOURLEAN DAVIS
February 9, 1934-August 20, 2021
Mavis was born at Ft. Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kansas and lived in the Kansas City area until her passing at 87 years old. After triumphantly surviving an abusive and difficult childhood she later married Wilbur Roden and had three children; Evelyn, Bruce (who died shortly after birth), and Karen. She was a stay-at-home Mom who was an avid antique collector that later became an antique dealer, which she did from her home. She always loved to go antique shopping and could never pass up a good sale or thrift store. Mavis became a friend of Bill Wilson on December 10, 1977 and continued this friendship for over 43 years until her passing. For the last eighteen years of her life, she lived with her daughter Evelyn who took wonderful, loving care of her every day.

During her last years, she demonstrated a clear and profound commitment to her family, making sure she was always there to listen, provide support and wisdom that was garnered through a life time love of learning. She deeply cherished and valued her family. She strived to be good Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, making sure we knew she loved us, with all her heart. She leaves behind two daughters, Evelyn Allman of Raymore, Mo. and Karen Coin (Kelly) of Belton, Mo. She had three grandchildren, Kenneth Allman (Kimberly) of Augusta, KS., Zachary Smith of Kansas City, MO. and Clayton Smith of Belton, MO. Mavis also leaves behind six great grandchildren, Kyle Allman, Jonathan Allman, Julia Allman, Rebecca Allman all of Augusta, KS., Natalie McMillan of Aurora, CO., and Lydia Stewart of Independence, MO.

A memorial will be held in celebration of her life at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Mo. 64083 on August 27 th , 2021 at 4:00 pm.
