TRACY YVONNE SMITH
Wonderful, thoughtful and kind-hearted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Tracy always had a smile on her face and would help anyone. She was beautiful inside and out.
She had lived in Boise, Seattle and New York during her adult life and had friends that spanned the United States as well as elsewhere. She loved to travel and had been to Paris, toured Italy, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Japan and Mexico. She loved Mexico with family, friends or by herself. Cancun was her favorite place.
She graduated from Centennial High School and earn her BA in Psychology from Boise State University. It was an accomplishment she was very proud of.
She had a cat that traveled with her from Boise to Seattle to New York and back to Boise. His name was "Little Guy." and he was definitely her cat. No one else could get near him.
Tracy started working at Sam Goodys (where she could name any song and its artist) during her high school and college days. She went on to work at Washington Mutual Bank which afforded her the opportunity to manage a WAMU branch in downtown NYC after 9/11. Her customers frequently asked her where she was from since she was too nice to be from New York.
She came back to Boise and worked at several different banks before being hired by Mark Monitor, which is now OpSec Security. She had been with them for the last 8 years and enjoyed the job and the people she worked with, many of them she had been friends with since high school and college. Over the past couple of years, Tracy worked alongside her brother and his wife to create Sol Invictus Vineyard. It would not have been possible without her efforts. Tracy loved meeting new people, making new friends, and connecting people together. She enjoyed helping others and bringing happiness in their lives.
She traveled many places with her brother Scott, his wife Denise and nephews Jaxon and Zach. She loved spending time with Jaxon, buying him Full Send clothing, watching movies, and working in the vineyard. She always used the word "awesome" when talking about Jaxon's activities.
Tracy was instrumental in assuring that her brother Scott and family retired to the Boise area and she could not stand not having them nearby. We all had many good times traveling, dinners, birthday parties etc. Tracy also made sure we set up lunch dates with her mother and brother. She wanted to make sure we would see each other more. We enjoyed many Fridays at the golfclub around the pool and having lunch.
Tracy is survived by her mom and stepfather Bob and Pat Shosted; her dad Scott Pew; her brother and his wife Scott and Denise Smith and nephews Jaxon and Zachary and niece Sarina. She is also survived by her step-sister and husband Keri Lyn and Brady Renner and nephews Kall, Cade and niece Lauren. She is also survived by her step-brother and his wife Mike and Andra Shosted and nieces Leighton, Mylee and Morgan, and nephew Tate.
