A native of Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Hannah Phillips Lanning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda James; brother Tom Lanning; and grandson Rico Martinez. Thelma enjoyed raising her sisters, brothers, children and grandchildren.
Thelma is survived by two daughters, Linda Cervantes and Glenda Hensley; three sons, Mike, Danny and Gary Hensley; sister, Barbara Golden; three brothers, Lester, George and Ned Lanning; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
