Michael Don Ford, 50, of Nesbit, Ms., passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Desoto Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven.

Michael was born on May 11, 1971, to Donald Ryburn Ford and Peggy Kick Ford in West Memphis. He graduated from Briarcrest High School in Memphis and the University of Memphis. He attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson. Michael was a member of Christ Fellowship Church in Horn Lake, MS. He had a deep Christian belief and lived out what he believed. He loved teaching the Bible and loved teaching in general. He had a calmness about him whether he was teaching students or repairing someone's computer. He was skilled in many areas. He worked at a bank in Colorado Springs managed a restaurant in St. Louis, taught high school in Jackson, MS and Olive Branch, MS., and was the IT Specialist at Midsouth Transportation in Memphis, TN. Wherever he worked, he left a mark of excellence.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Rosie Ford and Leo and Georgia Kick, cousin Kevin Kick.

He is survived by his parents, Don and Peggy Ford of Nesbit, MS.; aunts Ann Ford of Oakton, VA, Laura Ford of Pocahontas, Gail (Eric) Thompson of Springdale, Pat Jones of Pocahontas, Nancy (AL) Smith of Collierville, TN., Donna (Mike) Hicks of Jonesboro; uncles Jim (Charlotte) Kick of Forney, TX., Jack (Carol) Kick of Pocahontas, and Danny (Donna) Kick of El Dorado, as well as numerous cousins and beloved friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 12:00 with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Mike Winebrenner and Sean Sawyers will be officiating. Burial will follow services in Randolph Memorial Gardens.

Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are Ben Liebhaber, Brett Liebhaber, Cody Kick, Jason Smith, Russ Kick and Jordan Hicks.

Honorary pallbearers include Heath Kick, Kasey Kick, Shane Hicks, Dr. Randy Ford, and Jeff Ford.
