Phyllis Jane Ragsdale Jackson, age 60, of Magnet Cove passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Hot Springs. She was born on December 10, 1960, in Pine Bluff, the daughter of John and Betty Gavin Ragsdale. Phyllis was a teacher for 30 years and then retired. She was a member of the Theta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa and served as state treasurer. She and her husband raised Black Hereford Cattle on their farm but her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Phyllis was member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her, mother, Betty Gavin Ragsdale and nephew, Dustin Harris.
Survivors include her father and step-mother, John and Betty Vines Ragsdale of Malvern; husband, of 37 years, John Jackson; daughters, Jessica Keisler (Greg) of Benton and Jordan Wright (Chris) of Magnet Cove; grandchildren, Jaina, Kadence, and Ruby Keisler and Addison and Hudson Wright; brother, Ricky Ragsdale (Teresa) of Little Rock; sister, Lisa Beebe (Tom) of Bentonville; step-sisters, Darlene Gregory of Jonesboro, Sherry Ergle of Sikeston, Missouri; sister-in-law, Joy Pennington (Larry) of Hot Springs and nephew, RC Daniel Ragsdale.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 28 at 4:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Dan Henderson officiating, visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis' memory to the HSC Literacy Council.
