Muncie: Wayne M. Gray passed away peacefully Sunday Evening August 22, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. Wayne was born on Monday August 23, 1943 in Muncie Indiana to Melvyn and Mildred (Brown) Gray. He grew up in this area going to work for Chevrolet as a skilled tradesman. He married Pamela Brees in 1967 and she survives. Wayne attended church at Full Gospel Temple in Muncie. He enjoyed all outdoor activities having a trapping business, hunting game, more than all fishing whenever he got the opportunity. He had the ability to fix almost anything often included his grandchildren in his activities.
Surviving Wayne are wife Pamela, daughter, Lisa York son, Michael Gray; grandchildren, Jessica (Jarret) Upchurch, Danielle (Lucas) Jones; great-grandchildren Lexii and Levi Upchurch, Kason Jones; sister, Joyce (John) Taylor; sister-in-law Brenda (Steve) Crouch and a special Nephew Jimmy Vance. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who will miss Wayne also.
His parents, son David W. Gray, son-in-law Jeff York; sister Mary Edwards and brother Michael Gray preceded Wayne in passing
Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center on Saturday August 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery south of Muncie.
