Paul Lee Greer, 77, of Stanford, KY passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Lexington, KY. Born on July 2, 1944 in Kings Mountain, KY to the late Hency Clay Greer and Maudie Williams Greer. Paul worked at the Sawmill and farmed for most of his life. He enjoyed playing baseball and horseshoes and loved to watch wrestling and Kentucky basketball. Paul was also a cut-up, he enjoyed teasing and picking at his kids and grandkids. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Coffman Greer of Stanford, KY; ten children, Carol Miller (Chuck) of Stanford, KY, Peggy Hart (Charlie Hale) of Stanford, KY, Linda Greer of Danville, KY, Tammy Greer (Spencer Pennman) of Danville, KY, Tonya Greer (Chris Howard) of Stanford, KY, Paula Greer (Ed Ewing) of Stanford, KY, Paul "Bubba" Greer of Stanford, KY, Kim Greer (Jeremiah Spoonemore) of Stnaford, KY, Allen Greer (Jennifer) of Stanford, KY and Chris Greer (Jasmine Foley) of Stanford, KY; three sisters, Gladys Rowland of Kings Mountain, KY, Mary Turpin of Stanford, KY and Betty Carter of Kings Mountain, KY; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hency and Maudie Williams Greer; one daughter, Betty Ann Greer; two sisters, Cynitha Greer and Cloretta Rayborn; three brothers, Thurman "Hot Shot" Greer; Dallas Greer and James Greer; and two son-in-laws, Frankie Alexander and Gary Hart.
Visitation has been scheduled for Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Taylor and Bro. Phillip Smallwood officiating. Burial will follow at Wall Cemetery in Kings Mountain, KY.
Active Pallbearers are Chuck Miller, Greg Carter, Allen Turpin, Rylin Smith, James Rose and Kenny Reynolds. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
