Tim was the son of James Ford and Dove Radford Ford. He was educated in the Houston County School System. He was retired from Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia.

Tim was married to Dr Marion Delores Ford. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Gail Jones.

Wife: Dr Marion Ford.
1 Son: Chantez Ford(Cynthia).
3 Sisters: Earnestine Rogers, Regina Ford and Merlin Ford.
4 Brothers: James Ford Jr(Minnie), Larry Ford(Valerie), James McGhee and Tracy Ford(Dotheria).
1 Grandson: Caden Ford.

Graveside services were held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:30AM in the Spring Creek Cemetery in Elko, Georgia.
