In Loving Memory of Patricia Mae Woods, loved as "Patty Cakes" began her earthly life mission on November 9, 1956 here in Detroit. Her mission came by the mission of her father James R. Woods and her mother Helen B. Woods and extended all the way back to her great-great-great-grandfather the Indian, and his marriage to the slave-woman Priscilla, all whose missions are complete.

Her family mission would include a brother Thurlo, and a second brother Jewel Lee (of Ohio); whose missions were complete before hers, and one sister Peggy, still on mission.

Her spiritual beginnings started at Carter Metropolitan Church and would later include New Jerusalem, "several others" and most recently New Jerusalem Temple, where communion was being brought to her in her home.

Pat graduated from Central High School in 1974 and then attended Michigan Barber School on Grand River in Detroit. Her desire to always help others led to her working in several nursing homes. She would go on to working in home improvement learning the trade from John Reynolds and Milton Danzy, becoming so interested in the business that she started her own – Woods Home Improvement. She would go on to bring others into the field and after retiring would do consulting for other contractors.

Oh, what a life's mission Cakes was…she loved to live life on the high end. Lots of partying, food and drink, travel, entertainment, and people, people, and more people. Building friendships that would grow over 10 years…20 years…30 years…even over 50 years… and was the word "love" mentioned??? When she met a friend, her warm way of assisting people, connecting people and advising people would lead to her being loved by "their" friends, "their" family and even "their" pets!!!

Above all was her love for almighty God and her lessons from him would bring many to seek her advice around what they called the "round table."

On July 29, she was rushed to the hospital by her trusted friend Angel, where she remained until December 16 when God stamped her life's mission complete.
