He was born February 17, 1924 in Sturgis MI to Fred and Jennie (Wilson) Maybee. Ted was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked many years driving a truck for L.A. Darling Co. in Bronson. He belonged to the American Legions in Bronson MI and Orland IN and was a 30 year member of the Bronson Fire Department, serving from 1949 – 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Poole) Maybee, whom he married August 10, 1946; 2 daughters, Pamela Aeschliman of Howell; Shelley (Billie Joe) Avra of Quincy; 13 grandchildren, Kent (Amanda) Aeschliman, Aaron (Heather) Aeschliman, Joseph (Kathryn) Aeschliman, Amy (Jared) Philburn, Michael (Katie) Aeschliman, Adam (Nina) Aeschliman, Jacob (Dana) Aeschliman, Tiffany Aeschliman, Bethany (Jordan) Rowe, Ashley (Nick) Kessler, Stephany Aeschliman, Ryan (Holly) Ward, Ted Avra; 30 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dorothy Fair, and half-brother, Raymond Loomis.
