Nocona - Janice Ann Ball was born on February 19, 1964 and went home to be with our Lord on August 23, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Janice graduated Nocona High School in 1982 and married the love of her life, Barney Dale Ball, on September 4, 1982. In addition to being a truly devoted wife and mother, Janice worked for Nocona Boot Company, Nocona ISD, First Baptist Church, and Gibbs Drug, where she came to know and love so many people in her hometown of Nocona. She enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and being around kids when she worked for Nocona ISD.
Janice and Barney have a daughter, Heather, who was the light of her life!
She was always so excited to tell anyone who would listen, all of Heather's successes and future plans.
Janice loved BIG! Janice loved EVERYONE! She would start every day by seeing whose birthday or anniversary it was and then proceed to personally contact them on their special day! Upon meeting anyone, she would give a hug, a kiss on the cheek or call you by the nickname she gave you. More often than not, you received a neck rub, whether you wanted one or not! Janice loved her small town of Nocona and everyone in it. She was loved by all that knew her and will truly be missed.
Janice is survived by her husband, Barney, her daughter Heather (and fiancé Patrick), her dad Fred Castle, sister Marie Castle, sister Jean Crow (and husband Danny), brother Jason Castle, and her Aunt Carolyn Fenoglio, who was like a sister. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Janice is preceded in death by her mother Frankie Jane Castle, grandparents Fred and Edith Castle, W. F. Conway and Majorie Conway.
In Lieu if flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity or her favorite, First Baptist Church.
Celebration of Janice's life will be Friday, August 27, 11:00 AM, with visitation immediately preceding at 10:00, at First Baptist Church Nocona, with Dave Woodbury officiating, and under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
