Maria Guadalupe Barrientos was born on November 14, 1929. She passed into eternal life on August 22, 2021 in Midland, Texas.
Guadalupe was united in holy matrimony to Alejandro on December 25, 1960.
Affectionately known as Lupe to family and friends, she was a loving, compassionate, selfless woman. As a young woman Lupe worked many jobs, but her passion was photography and gardening. Lupe faithfully raised her 3 children and 2 grandchildren along with her husband Alejandro. Lupe lived her life in a humble way. She was a devout catholic, a member of the curcillistas and prayed her rosary daily. She would lovingly bless and say a prayer for each person she came in contact with in daily life.
She is survived by her children Luz, and her husband Preston Shearod, her son Ricardo, and his wife Ana Barrientos, and her son Pablo and his wife, Naomi Barrientos. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Alec, Ashley, Rickey JR, Preston III, Ana Marie, Karen, and Jonathan. She also leaves behind her sisters Natalia, Ofelia, and Manuela, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Alejandro, brothers Amador, Pilar, Jose Antonio, and sisters Consuelo and Josefina.
Her viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 1 P.M. TO 9 P.M. with the rosary being held at 7 P.M. at Lewallen-Garcia Pipkin Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (Shrine) at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
