Stanley Wilson Jr. of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 83 on Saturday, August 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Ruby Wilson; his siblings, David (survived by Jeaneane) Wilson; and Esther (James) Ridgley; his infant grandchild, Daniel Wilson; and his cat, Cuddles.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Janet Wilson; his children, Steven "Randy" (special friend, Vicki Holstun) Wilson and Gary (Lauren) Wilson; his grandson, Ryan Wilson; a host of nieces and nephews; and his cat, Kameko.

Stan was a decent, honest, and ethical man. He always wanted to treat others fairly. He once turned down a consulting job when asked to do something unethical.

Stan grew up in Washington, IN and graduated BSEE from University of Evansville. He became interested in amateur radio acquiring his license at age 15 enjoying making contacts around the world even very remote islands. His many interests included MG sport cars, geocaching, browsing antique stores, and writing short stories. He was an avid reader and knowledgeable in so many areas. He had a brilliant, creative mind and especially enjoyed designing leading edge technology devices for which he was awarded several design patents. While in business for himself, he was awarded several SBIR research and development grants from the Air Force, Army, and Navy. He was a lifetime member of IEEE, explorer scout leader, member of the QRP society.
