It was in Seattle that Carol met Bob Ross, her partner of more than 20 years. The two moved to Maui and opened the shell shop LePre', which Carol managed until Bob's untimely passing. Carol then returned to Washington, living on Fox Island before settling in Allyn with her two dogs, Molly and Finnigan.
Carol was known for her dazzling smile, big heart, kind spirit, and generosity. She gave to many causes, most notably supporting lung cancer research via the UW Medicine Research Innovation Fund. Carol loved animals, travelling, and tulips. She enjoyed good food and good wine, and was the most delightful dinner date. Her gentle demeanor and care for others led to many long and enduring friendships.
Carol's family and many friends will miss her warmth and positivity. She is survived by her brother, Rick Robinson; her sister, Susan Riese; her nieces Kelly Klose and Katie Al-Khoury; and her nephews, Michael Robinson and Brett Riese.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Carol with a donation to the Humane Society of Mason County (18400 E. State Rte 3, Allyn, Wash. 98524).
In the meantime, raise your glass and toast to Carol: here's to a life well lived. We miss you already. Didee, didee, didee.
