Richard Jacobs, 62, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on August 20, 2021 at UNC Health Southeastern.
He was born on March 26, 1959 in Lumberton.
Richard worked for Graphic Packaging Corp. for 38 years. After taking a early retirement, he took up gardening and he loved, to cook and fish. He also loved to sit on his porch along with his wife and wave at the passing cars, often time's people would stop and visit. He was known as "PA" a name given by his wife and many of the young men that he became acquainted with through his sons. He will surely be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Jacobs and Mollie Lee Jacobs; a brother, Stevie Jacobs; and a son, Damian "DJ" Jacobs.
Richard is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patty Jacobs of the home; a son, Adrian (Telisha) of Rowland; a granddaughter, Maliah Lexi Jacobs of Lumberton; three brothers: James Jacobs Jr. (Rosa), Jackie Jacobs (Ruth), and Ricky Jacobs (Connie) all of Lumberton; three sisters-in-law, Janice Jacobs, Rebecca Lowery, and, Michelle Lowery; a special aunt, Christina of Maryland; four special friends: Timmy Graham, Josh Emanuel, Ray (Ray-Ray) Demery, and James Chavis "Rutdog"; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral services will be held in Revels Funeral Home Lumberton, 3575 N Roberts Ave, Lumberton, NC 28360. The burial services will be held at Oxendine Cemetery, 1752 Rennert Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360.
