A funeral service will be held 10:30am Wednesday April 17 at the First Presbyterian Church in Blue Earth with Pastor Russ Steele officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday April 16 4-6PM at Patton Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.
Dianne was born on May 2, 1943 in Blue Earth, Minnesota, to parents Donald and Helen Hanson. She attended school in Blue Earth, MN. She married James Allan Hughes on June 30, 1959.
She was a homemaker and later attended classes at South Central College for dietetics and worked in St. Lukes, Assissi Residence, and Nicollet Place. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and reading. The love of reading she passed on to her children and grandchildren.
Dianne is survived by her children; Monica (Chris) Yarger of Mankato, MN , Allan Hughes of North Mankato, MN, and David (Kristie) Hughes of Scandia MN. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Andrew and Johnathan (Trude) Yarger; Daniel, Joseph, Ana, Elena, Benjamin, and Lauren Hughes: and 3 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Brooke, and Harvey Yarger. Also, brother, Robert (Loretta) Hanson of Lincoln, NE. and nieces and nephews and their families.
