OKEECHOBEE, FLA Mrs. Mae J. Carter

Mrs. Mae J. Carter, 71, died here Monday. She was a native of West Virginia and had lived in Bristol before moving to Florida eight years ago. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Bristol.

Surviving are her husband, Richard A. Carter, two sons, Gene A. Carter, Camden, Tenn., and Ronald Carter, Miami, Fla.; four sisters Mrs. Edna Campbell, Miami, Fla., Mrs. Inez Belcher, Pocahontas, Va., Mrs. Arrie Gregory, Tazewell, Va., Mrs. Vernie Jones, Baltimore, Md.; one brother Spencer Jackson, Baltimore, Md. and five grandchildren. Blevins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The funeral notice ran the next day.
CARTER: Funeral services for Mrs. Mae J. Carter will be conducted 2p.m. Friday in the Blevins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.W. Martin officiating. Internment will be in the Shelby Hills Cemetery. The body will remain in the Blevins Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Bobby Arnold, Dean Cloyd,Ronald L. Grubbs, Robert L. Harmon, James F. Pecktol and Randall Jones.
