Stanley Williams
March 11, 1955 - August 20, 2021

Stanley Lavell Charles Williams, Sr. was the first born of the late Mary M. Williams. He was born on March 11, 1955 in Gulfport, MS.

Stanley L.C. Williams Sr., was baptized at an early age at St. John Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS. He graduated in 1973 from Harrison Central High School in Lyman, MS. Shortly after high school, he relocated to Pascagoula, MS and began his lifelong career at Ingalls Shipbuilding where he was employed for nearly 50 years. He started his career as an entry level welder. When he left Ingalls on a medical leave earlier this year, he held the position of supervisor. He was a family man who was admired and loved by many. Those closest to him experienced "first hand" his way with words and his wittiness. Stanley cherished his many relationships with his godchildren, extended family and friends. He was a man of few words but a man of his word. And when he spoke everyone listened. He was also a faithful member of Union Baptist church.

He was proceeded in death by his daughter Delia Stanton.

Stanley leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary Williams of Pascagoula, MS; three children, Stanley L.C. Williams, Jr., of Panama, FL, Dana (Sean) Dorsett of Wylie, TX and Carnell Stanton of Pascagoula, MS; five grandchildren, Da'Shun McMillian of Starkville, MS, Dy'Keya Stanton of Pascagoula, MS, Jordan Williams of Biloxi, MS, D'Asia Williams of Pascagoula, MS and Makayla Williams of Gulfport, MS; one brother, Christopher Williams, Newport News, VA; one sister, Annie Williams Jones, Marion, AL, as well as a niece, nephew, godchildren, cousins, family members and friends.
