Ruth was born August 23, 1914, in the Town of Mitchell, a daughter of the late Garret and Frieda Schultz Lemkuil.
She married Arthur Kranendonk on June 27, 1934 in Hingham. She was employed at Mentink's IGA Foods in Oostburg for 23 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg and its Women's Circle and Adult Sunday School.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur; two daughters, Audrey R. (Gerald) Otte, of Sheboygan, Karen F. (Roy) Nelson, of Mankato, Minn.; one son, Henry A. (Jean) Kranendonk, of Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six sisters, Florence (Earl) Schmidt, of Johnsonville; Arlen (John) Schaap, of Sheboygan Falls; Luella (Larry) Edler, of Sheboygan; Mildred (Harold) Lampers, of Sheboygan; Marion (Jake) Lisowe, of Plymouth; Marjorie (Ray) Preder, of Elkhart Lake; and two brothers. Rueben (Jean) Widder, of Sheboygan Falls, and Gilbert (Joan) Lemkuil of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Jeffrey Kranendonk and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 1992, at 1:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. James DeCamp, pastor, officiating. Family services will precede in the church fellowship hall at 1:15 p.m. Entombment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, October 6, 1992, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, until the time of services.
