They returned to Berrien County and appear there in the 1860 census. The 1860 census gives his birthplace as Massachusetts and hers as New York. From genealogical records Frederick died in 1863. Isabella was still living in 1894 when her son, Albert H. Potter, died. She was 88 years of age in 1894, according to his obituary. Her death record has not been located.
