Roland Q. Brown, age 77, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2021 surrounded by his children at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR.
Roland was born June 28, 1944 in Reddies River, North Carolina to Quince Washington Brown and Irene Elizabeth Jennings Brown.

Roland served his country from 1962-1985 as an Armor Senior Sergeant/ Aircraft Maintenance Sr. Sergeant in the United States Army. He served three tours in Vietnam and two deployments to West Germany. During his time in service, he obtained multiple awards such as Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, Meritorious Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Overseas Service Ribbon. After retiring from 22 years of service, Roland worked for the Campbell Soup Company/Herider Farms and Tankersly Food Services.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Elleve Brown McCaig and Evelyn Brown Williams Clement; two brothers, Dean Brown and James Vernan Brown.

He is survived by one sister, Joyce Brown Hill of Waxhaw, NC; and two brothers, Tony Calvin Brown and wife Genia of North Wilkesboro, NC and Carvin Turner Brown and wife Betty of Millers Creek, NC. He is also survived by three daughters, Penny Marie Brown of Huntsville, AR, Holly June Brown of Monticello, AR and Christy Brown of Deer, AR; one son Brian Neal Brown and wife Maureen of Fayetteville, AR. His grandchildren include, Amanda Howard of Fayetteville, AR, Dakota Slaughter and wife Jenny of Springdale, AR, Paige Dawn Rogers and husband Chris of Harrison, AR, Katalin Elizabeth Leslie of St. Joseph, Missouri, Kolby Lane Brown and wife Reagan of Bella Vista, AR, Logun Kole Brown of Fayetteville, AR, Skyler Ashley of Benton, AR, and Lane Michael Brown and fiancé Summer Jennings of Harrison, AR. He also has many great grandchildren.

Roland was a man who loved all and was loved by many.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Kolby Brown, Logun Brown, Lane Brown, Dakota Slaughter, Todd O'Dell, Travis Williams and Honorary Pallbearer Ron Little.
