ALFRED C. BANDINI, Ph.D., a resident of MIDDLETOWN, since 1966, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was born in the Bronx, the son of Charles and Teresa Grassini Bandini. A World War II veteran, he served honorably in the U.S. Army. An engineer in the field of telecommunications, he was employed by Bell Laboratories at facilities in both New York and New Jersey from 1957 to 1984. Following the divestiture of Bell Labs, he moved on to Bell Core until his retirement in 1993.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Camille Zelante Bandini; his daughter, Regina Bandini of Middletown; his brother, Robert Bandini of Westport, Conn.; and his sister, Grace Porto and her husband Philip of Plymouth, Mass. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. There will be a Funeral Liturgy at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catharine's Church in Holmdel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown.
