Lloyd L. Green
Lloyd L. Green 97 of Parsons Av, Bloomington MD died at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, WV on August 12, 2021. He was born near Sulphur, WV on May 5, 1924 and was the son of the late Stephen C. and Birdie (Wiseman) Green. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances, who died in 2013 and two brothers, Ervin and Robert Green and his sister Winona Sowers.

Lloyd was a graduate of Elk Garden High School. He was drafted into the US Army during WW II. He served with the 7 th Division 184 th Infantry at the battle of Okinawa. He was awarded a Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge for his service. He was in the mining business his whole working life.

He is survived by his devoted son, Richard L. Green of Bloomington. MD and his nephew, Lloyd Sowers of Tampa , FL.

The Family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021 from 5 until 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday Aug, 16 at 11 AM at the Nethken Hill Methodist Church with Pastor Ross Glotfelty officiating. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Dellinger, Bernie Fazenbaker, Ernie Metz, Phil Kisner, John Foreman, Mark Carpenter, and Randy Shreve.

In lieu of flowers the family request that Memorials for Lloyd be directed to the Nethken Hill Cemetery Maintenance Fund % of Gary Kalbaugh, Chestnut Oak Road, Keyser WV.
