Brian Boyd was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to George and Mary Ann Boyd on December 11, 1966. Brian was the youngest of five siblings. In the 1970's, he and his family moved to Merced California where they opened their family business, "Nice Things".

Brian grew up riding his bike all around north Merced with his best friends. From Bear Creek to Yosemite Lake, they would fish, play ball and find themselves getting into trouble like, boys do. Soon enough, Brian would earn a plethora of awards for his accomplishments in basketball, football and baseball. He was voted most athletic of his senior class in high school, earning him the nickname "Haus". Brian continued his pursuit of baseball in college before going back to work for his family's business. Still, Brian's passion for baseball would lead him to completing his teaching credential in mathematics and coaching high school baseball at Merced, Le Grand and Atwater High schools. While coaching at Merced High they won their section title. He loved helping players achieve at their highest potential. He had many passions, which included baseball, framing, drawing, fishing, camping, golfing, and 80's music.

Later in life, his passions would grow to include painting and gardening. He rooted for the Minnesota Vikings and Twins as well as the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs. Brian never forgot a face and was always up for reconnecting with old friends. He loved his family dearly including the Torosian family he married into. He had a smile that could light up a room. His dimples and blue eyes made for an instant attraction when Diana met him at a friend's wedding in 1993. His sweet shyness added to his appeal. A year later, they were married on June 4, 1994.

Brian and Diana were blessed with two children, Shelby now, 24 years old and Tyler, 19. He encouraged them to chase their dreams and passions. He was extremely proud of the artist Shelby became and it inspired him to pick up a paintbrush to follow his long forgotten passion for art. Tyler shared Brian's love of sports. No matter if Tyler was performing at a karate tournament or at his next belt ceremony, Brian was there proudly watching. When Tyler decided it was baseball he wanted to pursue, Brian was there for every game he could, even when he was ill. Brian settled down in Chowchilla, his home just steps away from the golf-course he loved to play on.

He now joins his parents Mary Ann and George Boyd, two brothers, Doug and Bruce and his sister Cyndi Bryd in heaven. He was a beloved husband; father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, friend, teacher and coach.
