Mrs. Nancy Lynn Barwick Richardson, age 53 of Brunswick, passed away on Sunday morning, August 22, 2021 at St. Joseph's Candler Hospital in Savannah.

Born in Vidalia, she was one of nine children born to the late Marvin Carter Barwick Jr. and Jeanette Elliott Barwick.

Nancy spent a short time in St. Mary's as a young child, but primarily grew up in the Lothair Community of Soperton. She graduated from Treutlen County High School, Class of 1986. In 1988 she accepted a position with the Department of Defense at Kings Bay Naval Base in Kingsland. In 1991 she joined the Internal Revenue Service at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick. During the next thirty years as a Human Resources Specialist, Nancy traveled extensively, training and evaluating new prospective management staff. She enjoyed time spent at Lake Sinclair, days on Jekyll Island, gardening, and fishing.

Nancy was a former member of the Lothair United Methodist Church in Treutlen County, College Place United Methodist Church in Brunswick, and and presently a member at Crooked River Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, John Barwick.

Nancy leaves behind her husband John Raymond Richardson; children, Erica Lynn Day (Wesley Carroll) of St. Simons Island, Kristy Renee McLaws (Brian) of Woodbine, Mercedes Lynn Richardson of Soperton, John Shelton Richardson (Sierra) of Soperton; siblings, Mary Ann Barfield (Richie) of St. Mary's, Beth Warnock (Ken) of Dublin, Charles Barwick of St. Mary's, Michael Kim Barwick (Vickie) of St. Mary's, Chris Barwick (Danielle) of Lothair, George Barwick (Jan) of Cedar Crossing, Susan Duggan (Lee) of Dublin; her in-laws, John Lewis and Daisy Richardson of Soperton; five grandchildren, Evie Carroll, Braden McLaws, Zaiden Cox, Ariel McLendon, M.J. Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25th from the graveside in Fowler Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday at the graveside or friends may call at her home in Lothair.
