William Henry Cranford, Sr., age 88, f Dublin, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Mr. Cranford was born in Bibb County on January 26, 1933, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church and retired from Delta Life Insurance. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

 Mr. Cranford was preceded in death by his father, James Frank Cranford; mother and step-father, Lucille and Ernie White; wife, Marjorie Hall Cranford; brothers, Frank Cranford and David Cranford; sisters, Helen McCoy, Elsie Tompkins, and Sarah Clay; and son, Curt Sturgis.

Survivors include his children, Bill Cranford (Sandra), of Dublin, Tracy Cranford (Bill Adams), of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Cindy Kilgore (Mike), of Monroeville, AL, and Calvin Sturgis (Angie), of Dublin; grandchildren, Maria Burgess (Buddy), Dustin Kilgore (Jessica), Clint Kilgore (Kayla), and Caitlyn Creswell (Drew); great-grandchildren, Jocelynn Burgess, Isabella Burgess, Cooper Kilgore, Caroline Kilgore, Colby Kilgore, Kennedy Kilgore, and Greyson Nettles; brother, Danny White, of Dexter, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. Rev. Wes Pinkley will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Kilgore, Clint Kilgore, Cooper Kilgore, Wade Trawick, Dustin Benton, Tim Clay, Greg Clay, and Neal Clay.
