Deanna Adams, 92, of Kingsford, MI, died Feb. 7, 2019, at Florence Health Services in Florence, Wis. Deanna was born to Charles and Lola Rank in the Glenwood, Mich., area on Oct. 13, 1926. She was one of eight children.
Deanna was married to Donald Eugene Adams in 1946
and had one son, David Eugene Adams.
She resided in Decatur, Mich., for many years, before moving to Kingsford, MI to be closer to her only son and her grandchildren.
Deanna loved animals, especially dogs and horses. She enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and mushrooming in her younger years. She spent many hours assisting with the Boy Scouts and their adventures.
She was a very active member of her church and was dear family to many who were unrelated to her. Deanna was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.
Deanna is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Rank and Lola (Koontz) Rank;
seven siblings: Clyde Rank, Charles "Dick" Rank Jr., Glen Rank, Raymond "Dutch" Rank, Dorothy (Rank) Stamp, Frances (Rank) Mielke, Clinton "Tut" Rank Sr.;
her ex-husband, Donald Eugene Adams;
her partner, Hershal "Skip" Stevens;
and granddaughter, Danielle Rene Adams.
A memorial service will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 27 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Sagola, MI with visitation at 10 a.m and a service to follow at 11 a.m.
