Jack L. Thomason, Sr., age 78, of Trigg County, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, at his residence of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Williams officiating and burial to follow at the Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery-West. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mr. Thomason was born in Johnson City, TN on October 2, 1942, the son of the late Dayton O. and Bessie Arwood Thomason. He retired from the US Army as a Master Sergeant after serving 27 years and was a veteran of foreign wars. Jack had also worked for Civil Service at Fort Campbell where he had been the Facility Manager at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. Upon retirement from government service, Mr. Thomason served for 21 years as the Program Manager and Vice-President for BMAR & Associates and ABM Government Services. Jack was a member of Second Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of Transportation and taught a tenth grade Sunday school class. He was also a former member of the Hopkinsville Masonic Lodge where he served as Master Mason and District Deputy Grand Master Mason. Jack was also a member of the VFW of Cadiz, KY.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Owens; three brothers, William Eugene Thomason, Terry Lynn Thomason, Michael Wayne Thomason; and his sister, Janie Cross.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Charlene Thomason; his son, Jack Lee Thomason, Jr. and his wife Rhonda of Hopkinsville, KY; his four grandchildren, Johnathan C. Owens and his wife Connie, Mary Frances Caswell and her husband Wayne, Kelsey E. Fischer and her husband Robert, Katelyn L. Thomason; his two great-grandchildren, Barbara Ann Agy and Jackson Fischer.
